At-home sperm tests compared
Every at-home sperm test we list, side by side: what each one reports, what it costs and where to get it, from each brand's own page.
- Re-checked monthly · checked 20 h ago
4 at-home sperm tests cost $49 to $145. The cheapest, SpermCheck Fertility, is a single-use at-home sperm-concentration test; the most expensive, Legacy at-home semen analysis, is an at-home mail-in semen analysis (freezing extra). What each reports differs more than the price: check the table before you buy.

Prices and where to get each one
- SpermCheck FertilityAt-home test
Measures: single-use at-home sperm-concentration test
Indicates normal vs low count near the 20M/mL threshold, not a full semen analysis.
From SpermCheck
Measures: at-home semen analysis read on a phone, with a recorded video of the sample
FDA-cleared; results in about 10 minutes and a video of the moving sperm, so it shows motility as well as count. A screening, not a full lab semen analysis. Price read on myLAB Box's own page 2026-10-29.

What these tests can and cannot tell you
- 01
Count is only part of the picture
A test that only signals normal or low concentration says nothing about how the sperm move. Kits that film or measure the moving sperm report motility too.
- 02
Collection matters
Each kit has its own instructions on abstinence days and how soon to test; a sample taken outside them can read low.
- 03
A home test is a first check
It cannot look at shape or the full set of measures a lab semen analysis reports, and it cannot diagnose a cause. A low or borderline result is a reason to see a clinician.
Common questions
How much does an at-home sperm test cost?
The 4 tests compared here cost $49 to $145, from SpermCheck Fertility ($49 (1-pack)) to Legacy at-home semen analysis (from $145 one-time), each price as its brand states it.
Which at-home sperm tests check motility?
myLAB Box At-Home Male Fertility Test, YO Home Sperm Test, Legacy at-home semen analysis: their own descriptions say they report how the sperm move as well as how many there are. A count-only test tells you nothing about movement.
Is an at-home sperm test as good as a semen analysis?
No. A home test is a first check of count and, for some kits, motility. A full semen analysis in a lab also looks at volume and shape and is what a fertility clinic will ask for, so a low or borderline home result is a reason to book one.
