Some small trials in IVF patients and in men with poor sperm parameters suggest possible improvements in ovarian response or sperm motility, but studies are small, short, and inconsistent. There is no strong evidence that it raises pregnancy or live-birth rates.

Generally well tolerated; mild GI upset can occur. May reduce the effect of warfarin. Ubiquinol and ubiquinone forms differ in absorption.
