Kindbody's employer fertility benefit: how it works and who uses it
What Kindbody says about the fertility benefit it runs for employers, in its own words, and the employers whose own benefit pages name it.
- Pages read · checked 3 d ago
Kindbody runs its own fertility clinics and also a fertility and family-building benefit that employers buy, and each employer designs it: up to 3 fertility cycles (KindCycles) such as egg freezing or IVF at Medtronic, 2 cycles at NFP, and up to $60,000 in a lifetime for services and drugs at Tesla in 2026. You can be treated at a Kindbody clinic or a partner clinic, and you activate the benefit with a code from HR before booking.
What Kindbody (employer benefit) says about its benefit
Read on Oct 23, 2026 on its own pages. The words in quotation marks are its own. Your employer decides what your plan includes.
A benefit and a clinic network
Kindbody calls itself a fertility and family-building benefits provider and a fertility care delivery platform. With your employer it covers fertility and family-building services, pre- and postpartum support and more.
“Kindbody, a leading fertility and family-building benefits provider and fertility care delivery platform, today announced the launch of its next-generation fertility platform”
“In partnership with your employer, Kindbody provides coverage on fertility and family-building services, pre- and postpartum support, and more.”
Each employer sets it
Medtronic: up to 3 fertility cycles (KindCycles) such as egg freezing, embryo freezing or IVF, with drugs and labs included and one embryo transferred per cycle. NFP: 2 fertility cycles plus fertility drug coverage. Tesla (2026): up to $60,000 in a lifetime for fertility services and drugs, with one year of storage. Your medical plan's deductible, copay or coinsurance still applies.
“Up to a lifetime maximum benefit of three (3) fertility cycles (aka KindCycles), such as egg freezing, embryo freezing, or IVF. Subject to cost-share, co-pay, and deductible under your medical plan.”
“Fertility medication, labs, and related expenses included in cycle coverage.”
“One embryo can be implanted per cycle.”
“You’ll receive 2 fertility cycles through your benefit, in addition to fertility medication coverage, fertility check-ups, and more.”
“Up to $60,000 per lifetime for eligible fertility services and required medications through KindRx”
“Storage duration is one year with applicable cycles”
“Fertility services and medication benefits are subject to any applicable deductible, copay or coinsurance as described by your medical plan.”
Donor, surrogacy and adoption
Kindbody says it supports adoption, donor and surrogacy paths. At Tesla, up to $25,000 in a lifetime reimburses third-party reproduction costs that a medical or fertility plan would not cover.
“we support all paths to parenthood including adoption, donor and surrogacy.”
“Up to $25,000 per lifetime for eligible third party reproduction services”
“The donor, surrogacy, and adoption benefit is designed to reimburse for expenses unrelated to actual treatment that would be covered through your major medical or fertility plan.”
Fertility drugs through KindbodyRx
On the plans we read, fertility drugs go through Kindbody's pharmacy program (KindbodyRx at Medtronic, dispensed by Schraft's Pharmacy; KindRx at Tesla).
“Fertility medications must go through KindbodyRx, dispensed by Schraft’s Pharmacy.”
“Up to $60,000 per lifetime for eligible fertility services and required medications through KindRx”
Kindbody and partner clinics
You can choose a Kindbody clinic or a partner clinic, and Kindbody lists 400+ partner locations in its patient portal. Its February 2026 announcement names IVIRMA, Inception Fertility (with The Prelude Network) and Ivy Fertility in its national network.
“Kindbody offers fertility services at their own Kindbody clinics, as well as a broad network of partner clinics. You can choose from any Kindbody clinic or partner clinic for your fertility treatment.”
“You can also access information on our 400+ partner locations on your patient portal once you’ve activated your account.”
“its curated, integrated national network of IVF centers including IVIRMA, Inception Fertility (including The Prelude Network), and Ivy Fertility”
Who it is for

If you lose eligibility, for example by leaving the job, treatment and storage are at Kindbody's cash-pay rates; once you reach your employer's maximum you can continue at discounted rates.
“Kindbody’s mission is to make family building a reality for everyone - regardless of sexual orientation, relationship status, or gender identity.”
“If you are no longer eligible for the Kindbody benefit (e.g. you are no longer employed at your same employer) you will be responsible for the cost of your treatment and/or the annual storage fee at Kindbody cash-pay rates.”
“If you have maxed out your employer-sponsored coverage, you can continue to obtain services from Kindbody at discounted rates.”
